The Mentalist is a popular American television series that aired from 2008 to 2015. Created by Bruno Heller, the show follows Patrick Jane (played by Simon Baker), a former psychic medium who uses his exceptional skills of observation and persuasion to help the California Bureau of Investigation (CBI) solve crimes.
Season 5 of The Mentalist premiered on October 2, 2016, and consists of 18 episodes. The season focuses on Patrick Jane's quest to find Red John, the serial killer who murdered his wife and daughter.
