However, the high cost of accessing legitimate sources of entertainment, such as cinemas and streaming services, has driven many Indonesians to seek out illicit alternatives. The availability of films like "Tarzan X" for download on websites such as Substitel has made it easy for people to access entertainment content without paying for it. But what are the implications of this trend for the lifestyle and entertainment industry in Indonesia?

This study used a mixed-methods approach, combining both qualitative and quantitative data collection and analysis methods. A survey of 100 Indonesian film enthusiasts was conducted to gather data on their downloading habits and attitudes towards film piracy. Additionally, in-depth interviews were conducted with 10 industry stakeholders, including film producers, distributors, and exhibitors.
